Truck Tent fit guide

Sizing:  There are five sizes of truck tents available for the largest and most common pickup trucks on the road.  To find the correct size you must know the length of your truck bed, measured with tailgate up.  Many truck models have one name and two bed sizes (i.e. F150 has both 6.5' and 8' bed lengths).  If you can not find the correct size or model listed, most likely manufactures consider your truck bed too small to camp in or there aren't enough of them on the road to make one that size.  We don't make custom tents or one-of-a-kind truck tents, sorry.

Bed Sizes: 
Full Size 8' Bed

Full Size 6.5' Standard Bed - This model is for full sized standard bed (6.5') trucks. NOTE: This model can also fit full size 6 foot beds, like Nissan Titan, RAM MegaCab, Order Awning/Floor Accessory 101. Full Size 5.5' Crew Cab Bed - This model is for full sized crew cab (5.5' bed length) trucks. Some models include: GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab, Chevrolet Crew Cab, Ford Super Crew Cab, Nissan Titan Crew. Order Awning/Floor Accessory 101. Chevy Avalanche, Cadillac EXT Bed

Short Bed Compact Trucks- This model is for short bed compact trucks (72-74 inch or 6 foot bed length). Models include: Chevy S10, Chevy Colorado, GM Canyon (5 and 6 foot bed lengths), Ford Ranger XL, XLT, GMC S15, GMC Sonoma, Isuzu Hombre, Jeep Camanche, Mazada B2000, B2500, B3000, B4000, Mitsubishi, Nissan Frontier, Toyota Hilux  

Tool box:  In many cases you can buy a short box tent that will fit into a long box truck with a tool box.  The tent will go up next to the tool box.  If you have a short box truck with a tool box, a tent won't work.

Railings: Truck tents will fit on trucks with side railings up to 3" high.

Rollbars:  They usually won't fit with roll bars or any accessory that interferes with the sides of the bed.

Tonneau Covers:  Solid covers won't allow a truck tent unless you remove them.  If soft ones roll back and don't cover the top sides of the bed it could work.

Bed Liner:  Yes truck tents work with bed liners.

Can you drive with a truck tent set up?  Not on public roads. (maybe a little around camp 5 mph max.)

Will I stay dry in the rain?  Yes, our truck tents come with a rain fly.

Do they come in different colors?  Each model has one color only.  Camp-Right tents are Gray and White.
